Buffalo Outdoor Center is open and ready to welcome you to Ponca! Below are the services and adventures we are offering during Arkansas's Phase 1 process. You'll also find an update on the National Park's reopening status and a few, but important Phase 1 guidelines we are asking of our visitors and guests. THANK YOU for helping us keep everyone safe and enjoying a long-awaited return to Buffalo River country!
BOC PHASE 1 SERVICES & ADVENTURES
BOC Store: Our store and deli are currently open from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, 7 days/wk. Store restroom facilities are also open. THANK YOU FOR ADHERING TO SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES WHEN IN THE STORE. ALSO, ONE PERSON PER GROUP OR COUPLE IN THE STORE AT ANY GIVEN TIME.
Zipline Tours: Zipline tours are open with added health-safety precautions in place. For example, participants must wear masks and gloves (provided) and the group size is limited to 8 guests. For the current tour schedule or to reserve your tour, you may book online or call us at 870-861-5514.
Ponca Downhill MTB: Our shuttle service for the mountain bike trail system is available with added health-safety precautions in place. For example, we will be limiting the number of riders permitted in the shuttle vehicle at any given time and all riders must wear a mask while while in the shuttle vehicle. Love to hike? Hiking is also permitted on the Ponca Downhill MTB system!
Hiking Trails: All trails within the National Park and National Forest are now open.
Scheduled Launch Times: During Phase 1, we will require a pre-reserved launch time to be set up prior to your arrival. This helps all guests, outfitters and NPS staff to practice social distancing while on the gravel bar. We will schedule your launch time when you call to reserve your boats. Or, you may choose your time slot when reserving your canoe(s) or kayak(s) online.
Vehicle Shuttles: During BOC's Phase 1 operations, a vehicle shuttle is only available in conjunction with a boat rental. PRIVATE SHUTTLES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we cautiously move forward with reinstating river operations.

The Buffalo National River is open to ALL activities. Campgrounds and overnight camping are available beginning the morning of May 29, 2020.
