Creature Comforts & Romantic Appeal: Inside, the Creekside Cabin’s main floor features comfortable furniture, a vintage-stove inspired gas fireplace, a fully furnished kitchen, and bathroom with walk-in shower. Upstairs, you’ll find a comfy queen bed in the cabin’s open sleeping loft. Free wifi and satellite TV are available should you wish to stay connected with the outside world. On your private outdoor patio, relax in the warmth of the cabin’s romantic hot tub or build a cozy fire in the stone firepit. The patio also features a gas grill.

Location, location, location: The Creekside Cabin is conveniently located within a stone’s throw of the Ponca Access on the Buffalo National River, as well as just 2 miles from the popular Lost Valley trail. You’re also just a mile from the beautiful, historic Boxley Valley and its prime areas for roadside elk viewing.

Common Questions

How close is this cabin to hiking trails?
Very close! You’re just 4 minutes (2 miles) from the popular Lost Valley trailhead and 1 mile to the Ponca-to-Steel Creek trailhead at the Ponca Access.

How far is it to restaurants, fuel, or a grocery store?
For basic grocery staples, a variety of unique cold drinks and and hearty deli sandwiches, the BOC store is just 150 yards to the south on Hwy 43. We also have card-friendly fuel pumps for both regular and diesel that are available 24/7. You’ll find restaurants and a full-size grocery store in the town of Jasper, which is just a 20-minute scenic drive (@ 14 miles) from Ponca.

Is this cabin secluded?
While located just off Hwy 43, the Creekside Cabin’s backyard and side patio offer privacy and a feeling of seclusion. For a more secluded location, you might explore other romantic BOC cabin options, such as Cabin X or the Valley Secret.

Are pets permitted?
While the Creekside is not a cabin that accepts pets, we have many wonderful cabins that do! Click here to find a pet-friendly BOC cabin, including one with a hot tub!

Is parking access OK for a motorcycle, sports car or 2WD?
Yes! The cabin’s level gravel parking area is accessed right off Hwy 43. Sports car owners with low clearance may wish to enter from the Ponca Creek Lodge driveway entrance, located just north of the cabin about 40 yards.

About TV:

The 42″ smart TV is equipped wih Dish Network service and a BluRay DVD player. Enjoy our large library of free DVDs available at our store during your stay.

About Cell Service:

Cell service is not available at this cabin, but it can typically be found 3 miles to the north of Ponca, just off Hwy 43 along Firetower Road. DIRECTIONS TO CELL SERVICE: Drive 3 miles north of your cabin on Hwy 43, then turn left at the Centerpoint trailhead onto Firetower Road. Continue driving along Firetower Road until your phone has an adequate signal. Otherwise, while at the Creekside Cabin, wifi calling is your other option for placing and receiving phone calls.

About Wifi:

All cabins are equipped with complimentary wifi. Please note that wifi is a free service and due to our secluded area, may at times be intermittent in view of inclement weather, provider issues and other circumstances beyond our control.

Hot Tubs:

All hot tubs are drained and cleaned after each cabin stay. Please allow 4-6 hours for the hot tub to heat properly as it may have been fully drained following a checkout prior to your arrival.

Pet-Free Cabin:

This cabin is a pet-free space. Please see our options for Pet-Friendly Cabins if you wish to bring your pet along.

About Tents, RVs & Campfires:

Tents, RVs and campfires are not permitted on cabin grounds. For an RV site, please visit our RV Park page.

Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin. Please smoke outside and discard butts in the receptacle provided.
