Overview

A great hike for the whole family packed full of beautiful scenery. Not only does the trail sport a gorgeous shelf waterfall, but this scenic area is also a popular swimming hole in the summer.

Directions from Ponca

Head south on HWY 43 through Boxley Valley for 4.7 miles. Continue south on HWY 21 for 11.2 miles. Turn right onto HWY 16 W/HWY 21 S for 8.6 miles. Slight right onto HWY 16 W (at Fallsville) continue on HWY 16 W for 16.2 miles. At the community of Boston turn right on County Road #3175. Stay on this road for 2.3 miles and you will come to a “T” intersection. Turn left onto County Road #3500. There will be a parking area and Nature Conservancy sign for the trailhead just under a mile up the road on your right.

A short easy hike the whole family can enjoy. The trail follows the scenic Kings River and takes you by beautiful cascades and natural rock features. The trail end at a gorgeous shelf waterfall and makes for a great picnic area.

Not only is the area a great location for a hike but the pool below Kings River Falls is also a popular swimming hole in the summer
